Tax evasion by consultant

Hello Experts,

I am a freelance teacher. A college approached me through a consultant and I joined there. The college pays the consultant and then the consultant pays me. When the time came to pay the money, the consultant insisted I take cash payment.

I was promised a payout of Rs 2000 per class NET on an SMS from him. I assumed this to be the amount after deducting TDS. Now the consultant is saying that he runs this business on the side and that he doesn't have an actual firm, so he will give me 2000 per class in cash. I declined saying that I want the money officially after tax deduction. So basically, Rs 2000 after deducting 10% TDS. He is not ready to give the increased amount either (Rs 2,222- so that I can pay the tax if he can't). Now the question is-

1) I have detailed whatsapp chats with him where he says that I should take money in cash since everyone else does it that way and that I'd be getting Rs 2000 only and that I don't have any other option.

2) He says that by "NET", he meant that college has deducted his TDS. Obviously, if tax is not deposited in MY account, then its not net.

3) This person is working in a reputed company and is running a business on the side without any business entity. Clearly, he has evaded a lot of taxes. College pays him money in his savings account and he pays everyone by cash. He has accepted this multiple times on whatsapp.

What should I do now? How can I complaint against this?

Passport application

Dear sir,

my colleague recently applied for passport. She is married for past 9 months but she has yet not applied for marriage registration. She initiated for passport and address mentioned in her passport application belongs to her fathers residence. Now local police verification team is insisting that she mentions her husband's address in passport. But owing to absence of marriage certificate she cannot mention it.

Kindly advice.

Request to proceed

Respected Sir,

I am from a Town which is near to Chennai. In our town one famous temple is there , after renovation work on the temple, the Consecration ceremony held on yesterday.

the day before yesterday it self i and all other devotees were went to the temple as usual.

the Consecration ceremony planed on 7-6-2015 at 5.15 to 6.15 am

the temple authorities were kept so many banners of advertisement, which show that the Consecration ceremony held on 7-6-2015 at 5.15 to 6.15 AM ,all the devotees are welcome.

Before temple Consecration ceremony, it has some events which starts from early morning 2.00 am , this will also know by the temple authorities and devotees like us.

So I and some of the daily visiting devotees were went on 7-6-2015 at 2.15 am to participate from the beginning event ,when we enter the gate the police men asked the Badge of the temple.

I and other daily devotees were refused to go inside the police men told that the temple authorities were directed no one will be allowed with out temple badge till 8.30 am.

I and the daily devotees were surprised and we are not allowed to enter into the temple
which means the temple authorities were given temple badges only for VIP for entry to the temple, not for the public.

As per the temple authorities direction the police men were not to allowed the public into temple till 8.30 am .

even after finishing Consecration ceremony the public like us were allowed to the temple.

The temple authorities did not informed this to the public so the public like us came to the temple from 3.00 am onwards but the ordinary devotees like public were not event allowed to enter in to the temple till the Consecration is over.

This is not fair that the temple authorities were planned to celebrate the Consecration ceremony with only VIPs and avoiding the public till the Consecration ceremony is over till 8.30.

The right of ordinary devotees like public,
were restrained with out giving any prior notice.

Now I request to get your advice

1)This type of temple authorities behaviour is good or not.

2)Whether the law supports this type of anti public activity.

3)This type of situation will not come here after in any temple ,so what type of action is recommended by you.

Note : The temple has so many VIP Contacts so they think that they can refuse the public no one question them.

Kindly provide the information which will help the public

Adverse possession in tenancy premises

my father has a 5 sibling and they were living together in the municipal chawl apartment in dadar till the death of my grand father, who was having tenancy rights on his name. out of 5 siblings 2 are sisters who left that apartment after their marriage. after his death, in 1991 my father has moved out from that place and took other rental apartment nearby his office. The tenancy has not been transferred from the name of my grand father to any of its legal heir. while moving out of that place, my uncles assured my father, that his right in that place will remain unaffected. however, as the said place has gone under redevelopment scheme (not under SRA act), they refused to give anything to my father as they were having uninterrupted possession of rental premises. so my question is that, whether they can claim adverse possession under a purview of the said facts or we can claim our part in the said property under the provision of tenancy act.

Self earned property - contention

The following are the facts of the case and we seek your valuable opinion prior proceeding legally

My father married my mother and had four children ( 3 boys and a girl child ) out of this wedlock. My mother died in the year 1963 leaving behind us. My father did not marry for 6 years but the since we were so small to understand the world, then the situation at the time compelled to him marry again. My eldest brother was 12 year old at that time

My father two children from the second marriage( one boy and a girl) and we all grow to gather under very tough condition

Around 1972 my father bought a MIG flat allotted by TNHB by paying a initial deposit of RS4000 with monthly installment spread over 16 years which he completed by 1988.He The initial payment /rs 4000 was paid out of sale of grand father property and sale of my mother gold.

However in 1996 my father transferred the house to the second wife under a deed. We had no knowledge on this nor informed about this. he passed away in 2009 and in in 2010 the property was transferred to his second wife son with no prior intimations to us

Recently the house went for rebuilding JV and the surrounding people kept us the informed on these developments

Now these are the our following queries please clarify the same

a) My father salary at the time of buying the house less then Rs 600 and he has to manage the house hold expenses and our studies, the initial deposit was arranged by selling my grand father's property and mothers Jewell.

The evidenced to that above is available in terms of a) copy our grandfather's will naming my father b) property sold by my father c) the salary certificate from the company he was working from 1970

b) we have witness to this , since his sister who also bought at the same time, plus she only bought the jewels of my mother

Will this be admitted as proof of evidence to break the contention of my step mother that this is not a self earned property
