my querry is whether a society registered under societies registration act in Tamil Nadu, doing charitable activities and manufacturing farm products and agricultural produces covered under ESI?

i would like to know
a. how much is a standard acre under Tamil Nadu land reforms and fixation of ceiling act (for both dry lands and wet lands)
b. can a society registered under Societies Registration Act, claim any exemption from land ceiling.
c. if not are they entitled to apply for permission for holding excess lands.
friends please clarify on this subject.

can a traffic police officer cease anybody`s vehicle which costs more than 50,000/-for not paying the challan of Rs.50/-.if he can cease what is the procedure.

i am hindu.my wife desrted me one year ago witha a child.i tried her to get back my home where i am working as a govt employee.but she wants me to transfer to her parental town.i need to take care of my old 65 years father.after one year of desertion i am living together with one of my fathers relative of unmarried girl without marriage and with my father also with her parents consent.and she is studying degree.in view of society we are married couple.but there is no any record of "i am her husband"like college admissions,hospitals....photographs..no birth of child also ...etc
now my wife wants to file a "BIGAMY" case on me.what type of evidences can court ask to prove it?what provisions in law to prove BIGAMY in this particular case?

i am hindu.i am living together with an unmarried girl (mothers relative) after one year of my wife desertion.she carrying MANGALSUTHRA on her neck.it is the only society presuming that we are married couple.is the live in relationship with an unmarried girl comes under bigamy?under what provisions of law?

there is a X company which is providing services to another Y company. Can the shareholders of the company bring in a stay order for not making payment to the the X company.
Is there any such stay order which can be given except in case of a legal proceeding
is the Y company liable to stop the payment even if there is no problem in services legally or performance wise and even if X company is not doing any forgery.

After termination of agreement is Arbitration clause still valid
Ie Agreement signed in oct 2000,
valid for 3 years IE till SEp 2003.
after which agreement was not renewed.
though transaction carried out.
Transaction is also not of the period of agreement
NOw One party has filed a claim for arbitration after 6 years.
So Even after termination of agreement in 2003 is Arbitration clause still valid
Union of India vs. Kishorilal Gupta & Bros., 1960 (1) SCR 493.
Termination of an agreement arbitration clause would also cease to be operative
Learned Attorney General submitted that, as to when on termination of an agreement, arbitration clause would also cease to be operative, has been well explained by a three- Judge Bench of this Court in Union of India vs. Kishorilal Gupta & Bros., 1960 (1) SCR 493. In that case Subba Rao, J., as he then was, speaking for the majority stated at pages 513 to 514 of the report that the discussion of the law on the subject led to the emergence of the following principles in this regard :
"(1) An arbitration clause is a collateral term of a contract as
distinguished from its substantive terms; but nonetheless it is an integral part of it;
(2) however comprehensive an
arbitration clause may be, the existence of the contract is a necessary condition for its operation, it perishes with the contract;
So Even after termination of agreement in 2003 is Arbitration clause still valid

Regarding Depreciation
Dear Expert,
please let me know,
if i used an asset for 6 months in a year and for the rest of 6 months, the asset is idle.
is there any requirement to compute the depreciation for the entire year or can i compute the depreciation only for such 6 months?
the asset is purchased 5 years ago.
