My wife's brother forcefully made his widowed mother sign on house property documents and registered the property in his name.Therafter he has been treating her miserably and now wants to evict her from a small room and sell the house.
What are the remedies so that my mother-in-law can live the rest of her life peacefully.
Can my wife threaten him with a suit for partition. Can I file a suit against maltreatment of aged mother?

My wife is misbehaving with my parents who are senior citizens.She under the influence of her parents and brothers is doing in order to save her own skin.
My parents are innocent .
can we book a case against her in senior citizen protection act

Hello,
Two years back my wife went to her parents home to attend her cousin's marriage along with my 1 year old daughter and didn't return back. I called her many times but she didnt receive my calls. I visited her parents house and found that she took admission in a college and doing her pg. I was shocked upon knowing this. Her parents also didnt cooperate. I told her parents to send her back to me but the said that when she doesn't want to go back we cannot ask her to go. She doesn't let me talk to my daughter. Hence i am planning to file divorce.
I want to know that after 2 years of separation can she file a fasle divorce case and a case like 498a.

Dear experts, my wife filed DV case on me and she gave written statement that she is not safe in my house. She gave false statement. We all family members trying to back her home from starting. But she denied all time. I want to take her back home. We have also one baby girl of 2 years. I want my child also but my wife not want to stay with us. In these circumstances if she not come back can I take custody of my child in future. Please suggest me what I should do if she refused to come back.

I filed divorce last year and declining to show my 8 year old child to me. A friend of mine (also a lawyer) said that clearly specifies that children under 8 year old must remain with mother and hence, my GWOP won't even even be accepted), since it is against the law.
Would you experts advise? Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

1. Does the dowry act provide for compromise at any point of time during proceeding? I ha ve heard that it is now compoundable.
2.Can the case under dowry act be filed by father of the bride on behalf of his daughter? Or can the father himself file the case ?
3. About 3 months after marriage, the bride comes to his parents house in another city. The bridegroom changes his rented house and becomes traceles. Available on phone but doesn't want to continue marriage.
The bride had to face a lot of torture during 3months stay at his home,yet suffered calmly thinking once she starts going to job, every thing will become alright.But he is not allowing her to work either.
Almost 1 yr has passed.The bride joined job and living separately.He is not disclosing his residential address nor want to continue the marriage,though his phone no is working.The bride had left her jewellery at his residence because she didn't think she would not be able to return.Bride's father too had spent a lot of money in marriage.
Please suggest various course of actions that the bride should take.

like to know do parent of bride can file suit/petition on their own without involving their daughter aginst family of groom.
if it is then under which section/allegation ?

My DIL has filed a false IPC 498a, DV case against my family in Pune. As I m govt servant on the verge of retirement, I m worried that this case may have adverse effect on my retirement benefits.

Divorce granted but still stuck with 498a
Hello ,
Need your valuable advice. I am from Hyderabad, my wife registered a 498a case(was still in crimestage and not chargesheeted) on me and my entire family, she also filed a RCR at the same time in FC. at reconciling in the RCR case in family court, through legal mediation center it was agreed that we will go for mutual consent divorce and withdrawal/closure of 498a case on the same day for an amount of 10 lakhs. Petition was filed and RCR was converted into MCD in the FC and divorce was granted and the amount was handed over. In the 498a case all documents were submitted including divorce and MOU and wife's consent in front of the judge by both parties but the judge gave an observation period of 3 months so that after 3 months the case will be closed, which was not expected by us. After 3 months the girl did not turn up at the court for 2 -3 hearings, since the girl is not present the Judge says cannot close the case and ordered the police to chargesheet the case, Now i am stranded
Questions:
1 Can i still apply for quashing in HC, since the judge ordered for charge sheet
2 What are the chances of it getting quashed if there is no cooperation from the girls side
3 What is the best way to get the case to a closure from here
