Dear Sir / Madam:
If the matter is settled between Wife & Husband:
1. Can the Case of Annulment / Nullity be Converted to Mutual Consent?
2. If Yes, How long does it take After filing Mutual Consent for the Court to Decide on Granting of Divorce?

Dear Sir / Madam:
Matter Settled between Wife & Husband - Both Satisfied with Settlement.
1. 498A & 406 Cases Pending in Metropolitan Majistrate's (MM) Court. FIR Filed. BUT, Chargesheet not yet Filed by Police.
2. Wife ready to say in front of MM that she is No more interested in pursuing the Cases. Is it possible that on her statement MM can dispose-off or Quash 498A & 406?
3. If the Cases are to be Disposed-off or Quashed in HC - How long does it take for HC to do so?
4. In Quashing - If the Wife comes in front of HC & says that She wants to settle the matter and withdraw 498A & 406 - Will the HC accept her statement & allow the Cases to be Withdrawn in MM?

Marrried in 1991, have a 18+ daughter. In 2008 I found she was having extra-marital affairs. I have email & phone records of 2 affairs since 2008. She wants to extract money from me by harassing me - she filed false cases against my company (but no divorce case). She knows that I travel abroad 4 months/year and am peace-loving.
The residence apartment is in my name. We have another house (rented-out) and my mother's apartment, where I had included wife's name at the time of property registration, although all money was paid from my bank account.
Now I have come to know the address where my wife makes-out with current her boyfriend, sometimes whole nights. The man is also married but stays away from his wife. A lawyer suggests to get firm evidence and file a case of ADULTRY.
Question:- How do I collect solid evidence of her adultrous affair. Who will help me? Should I approach local police-SHO, Crime branch... or whom else will help me. The operation has to be meticulous and swift, since there won't be a second chance.
Please help me get peace back in life.

Ld Counsels,
May I request all the learned experts (Mr. Barman, Palnitkar, Suramaniam, Rajeev and all) to give their valuable opinion on the query regarding dowry demand and unwillingness to marry.
Wife is harassing husband with contradictory allegations. First went to pilcie with a dowry demand complaint and later filed a suit for annulment on the ground of husband's unwillingness to marry the wife.

ancestral Property
Respected ones,
I have filed a petition for divorce against my husband in Jan 2009. I have valid grounds for the same, but my husband now understands that it is going to be tough for him, as such now he wants to compromise and says that he shall henceforth improve his behaviour and take good care of myself and the daughters. But, my elder daughter has seen and experienced the cruelty which I faced, and also faced by both the daughters. She still remembers the various abuses we were subjected to and often cries. My husband is trying all means to delay the matter, so that he does not have to pay any maintenance. My questions are :
1. How can I get the divorce in the court, at the earliest when my husband is totally non cooperative and does not even turn up on adjournment dates?
2. My husband had demanded monthly access, I am not sure what to do? is it compulsory to give access?
3. My father-in-law has inherited property from his great grand father. The said property has come to him through division and as such it is ancestral property. The property is situated in the State of Gujarat. My elder daughter is 2002 born and younger is 2005 born. Can I ask for share from the proprerty of my father-in-law for both my daughters on behalf of my daughters? Further, do I get a right to ask for a share in my father-in-law's property. Kindly advice and help. Thanking in anticipation.
