I even cooperate that if he eash his cloth , i generally take my car out and park ot outside , but still he wants me not to park inside in day as he say it spoils his house look.

Break up of engagement

Respected sir, please guide me wat to do?
My brother got engaged on 18 Jul 2015 and marriage was decided for Feb 2016. My father passed away in an accident in Sep 2015 after which we made it very clear to the girls family that marriage cannot take place before a year as this is the common custom in our religion and region. My mother who was living alone in a rented flat moved to my brothers place in Dec 2015. Girl started questioning my mothers stay with my brother and then family was also pressing for early marriage and started talking nonsense about my father that it was his fate that he has left this world early and now they should get married. On the other side girl was continuously telling my brother that if u cannot have all the time for me then better u break the marriage. So finally in Jan 2016 we called off the marriage. We have proof as in messages sent by girl to my brother to call off the marriage. After this they demanded the expenses they did for the engagement. The bill they are giving is of 7.5 lacs which include bill for the hotel and cost of gold and clothes and other small gifts and the sweets they purchased for that day. We also gifted them for around 1.5 lacs. They are showing their hotel expenditure as 3.5 lacs but we have seen the bill which was of 1.68 lacs. After all this threat calls for false dowry case, the girl got married with another boy in Nov 2016 . Now they are again coming and asking for same money. My brother is still not married. This time they have filed some case for which we received a police notice also. We are going to follow whatever is the legal course but I want to know what will be the maximum amount which court can ask us to pay them? We have all their gifts still with us and we are ready to exchange with our which they must be having with them.

GRANTED LAND OR GENERAL LAND

Our grand grand father got some land by the way of granted land (dharakast) in 1931 and the same land auctioned by court for some reason in 1940-1941 and someone got that land in auction but before they got occupancy on that land our grand father\'s did some convince and taken the same land for rs 600 by the way of registration. So my question is , is this land is now treated as granted kand or general land?

Guide what legal way to follow

In July 2008 I had filed a consumer case against the Builder and Bank in SCDRC at Chennai for not delivering the possession of the flat booked and registered in April 2006 which has to be delivered in July 2007 and my prayer apart from handing of possession was rental for the flat from July 2007 till the possession is given at Rs.45000pm plus excess amount collected at the time of registration by the builder as Rs.2387608 plus mental agony of Rs 2500000 which totally works out to Rs.45 lakhs approximately. The case was prolonged by both the opposite party for nearly 9years in spite of a clear direction from the NCDRC in 2013 to complete it by 2014 May and it was only decided now by 20th of Dec2017. The order as per the nothings which reads as: The Complainant shall present the Complaints before NCDRC within four weeks on receipt of the order copy. The order copy when enquired stated that it will take 15 days approximately. My efforts of 9 years has gone in vain as Iam the party in person. Pls guide me should I have to appeal against this order or should have to file a fresh complaint in which case the cause of action will be effected.
