Dear sir
Im mrs kabita choudhuri from Kolkata. My father had bought a piece of land ( 5 kathas) approximately. He died in the year 1997. I have six brothers and two married sisters and one unmarried sister. Im myself married.
My brothers recently have decided that they want to demolish my father's house on this land and consruct a residencial apartment building on this land with the help of promoters ( building developers).
My question is that can i claim a share in this new building to be constructed and if my name should feature in the agreement between the two parties.
In this context let me also let you know that my brothers are trying to make me forcefully sign a paper where i give up all claims to the said property( father's land). This is completely against my will. They are saying that since our father had died before 2005, being a married daughter i had no rights to ancestral land. Can i stop them from entering into an agreement with the promoter regarding construction of a residencial flat building on this land.
I would also requests you to tell me if i have any claim over my late father's land being a married daughter. My father having deceased before the year 2004.
Kindly guide me in this matter

I want to send a legal notice to the builder for payment of compensation on account of extraordinary delay in possession of flat. I am confused as to whether it can be sent through a lawyer only or I too can send the notice. What will be the effect in both the cases? Which one will be more appropriate?

Maintenance of apartment
Dear Sir,
Good morning!
I had purchased the constructing apartment flat in 2013 in Bengaluru, and occupied the flat in September 2015.
My paid maintenance fee start from Jan 2017, and i paid the same for 6 months to Builder who is maintaining the same.
The building is not fully completed, no fire NOC and OC till today.
There was some repair works in my flat and he has put bad wall tiles in toilet, the bottom of tiles are vet in all weather. He is not allotted the parking measurement as per local authority.
He was saying he will not do any repair works till i pay the maintenance due of second half of 2017.
Builder has been assuring he will completed all works and get OC with 3-4 months from January 2016, but it is not happened till today.
Some flat owners who had met him last month has promised them that he will get the OC by May/June of this year.
Hence can i send the postdated cheque mentioning the date of August 2018 for maintenance fee of second half of 2017, and first half of 2018, stating since you have promised to get the OC to flat owners, and if you complete all pending necessary works in my flat you can claim the payment in Registered post. There was news in the apartments if we do not pay the maintenance he will disconnect the waterline etc.
Please advice on the above.
Thanks & Regards
Channa Keshava
