Here is a situation: My brother had lent around 50,000 rupees to a person in 2001. As a backup, the person had registered his land property (costs 50 lakhs as per current market price) in my brother’s name with a mutual understanding that the property shall be registered back to him when he pays the borrowed money with certain interest within certain duration (Not sure the interest rate and duration). But my only brother, who was unmarried/no other successors other than me, is passed away in 2002. So the person could not pay the money back and I believe that the land is still registered in my brother’s name. Very recently only I came to know this secret deal of my brother and the person is still occupying the property. Now can I avail the ownership of the land? I have heard that there is a law called adverse possession, which says that one, occupying a property without break more than 12 year, gets the ownership of the property. Will this adverse possession decide the ownership of this property?

Hi,
I constructed a house at kempanna layout in bangalore 4 years back. I became part of layout association by paying membership fee and have been paying monthly maintenance fee of Rs.150.
The issue is with old association members who have been staying in layout since last 10 years and some of them are local people. They are creating following problems
1.They have not given layout bore well water connection to my house.
2. Women senior association members gather in front of my house every day and discuss all junk things loudly making nuisance. And my house tenants also joining with them. Members are supporting tenants. I requested them not to form a group nearby my house, they replied that it was road and they are senior association members or local members.
3. They are wasting association funds in form of january 1 celebrations and other functions without consulting new members.
Could anybody help how to resolve the problems?

I had rented a property. Some points of registered rent agreement were;
Business of wholesale medicine shall be done on the rented property. The property is taken on rent for a period of five years out of which lock up period is of 1 year . 6 months advance is paid immediately with 2 months security in cash. Registered date is 16/05/2017.
Although after Registration I didn't took over the possession of property not even it's key as there was some repair work was left on the part of landlord. Anyways it didn't effected me as I had to apply for a drug liscence from Drugs Control Department in karkardooma, Delhi & it takes around a month to procure a liscence. So, a registered agreement was needed first to apply. After nearly about a month department asked me to submit a copy of property papers. My landlord refused to give me a cancelled copy of property papers. And exactly after a month my application for drug liscence was rejected and a got a rejection letter from department stating 2 lines :
"The firm has requested for grant of licences on form 20B,21B in a premises which are located in a Slum and JJ Colony The said colony was earlier known as Raghubir Nagar & now known as Tagore Garden Extn. As per the department policy dated 02/07/2012 the department is not granting licences in Slum and JJ colonies in the premises where the conditions mentioned in the allotment documents are violated Therefore firm was asked to submit owner ship proof & allottement letter indicating the area of the premises to verify the same . Despite reminder, firm has failed to remove shortcomings . As such the firm does not satisfies rule 64 /65A of Drugs and Cosmetics Rules 1945 for grant of licence on form 20B &21B and their application is rejected."
I googled list of JJ colonies in Delhi and no where I found Tagore garden extension in it. I found that initially in 1662 it was called JJ colony and in 1965 it's name was changed. Properties in Tagore garden extension have allotment letter and perpetual lease apart from property papers. The subject of allotment letter stated : "Allotment of a plot under Jhuggi Jhompri Scheme"
Now, after this I asked my landlord to return me back my 6 months advance and 2 months security. He simply refused. I pleaded that I have not even taken the keys of the floor from you. He replied me that the registered rent agreement states there's a lock-in period of 1 year so remaining 6 months' rent also needed to be paid.
Now what's the way out I want my hard earned money back.
Regards.

I bought flat in redeveloped building in 2013, which got OC, and i got possession in May 2014. Old society as it is will continue and their MC members. Society MC term was expired in Jan 2016 still continuing without election or new committee. old building had 13 members and new flat purchasers to be added as members are 12. out of the 13 old members couple of members approached registrar office with complaint of redevelopment and financial irregularities. final hearing was happened and order to be passed as the Society Management committee which was taken control of the society in feb 2011 was not signed the m20 bond. committee disqualification order will be passed very soon. now my question is what will happen to redevelopment which was signed in June 2012? what will effect to us as new flat purchasers. will that mean our property purchase becomes null and void being redevelopement agreement is becoming illegal due to disqualification of management committee of the society?. what action can we take against builder and society committee as few old members will support us for filing the case? kindly suggest

Purchased a Land around 10 years ago.
After railway Metro's introduction, remuneration was sent to a court for settlement with counterparty.
What is the list of legal documents required to prove that I am the absolute owner of the land.
The case is under Land acquisition (a.p. amendment) act, 1953 : u/s 30 of land acquisition act of 1894
Property dispute between brothers
Hi,
My father wrote his entire self-acquired property only to my youngest brother. The Will is registered and also my father has died. However, he has two other sons. Meanwhile, the above referred youngest brother wrote the entire property to his two elder brothers equally by relinquishing his rights on a 10 Rupees non-judicial stamp paper which was not registered or notarized. However, he is refusing to execute it.
I came to know that there is a supreme court judgement that even self acquired property cannot be written on a single person.
I have the following questions
1. Is it possible to fight this case and win
2. If you know any similar cases, can you please provide some reference to it.
3. Also, please quote Supreme court Judgement reference number.
Thanks !!!
