Sir,
one of the society committee memebers have not filed the M20 bond.
The society has passed a resolution intheir AGM, that no M20 bond needs to be filed with the Registrar.
In view of this the society is operating for the last few years without filing any bonds.
Please clarify:
1. Is this valid, to circumvent the requirement.
2. If not valid, what is the imapact on the acts done by the society Mgt Com?
Thanks,
shankar

Dear Sir,
A recent article stated -
A bench of justices R. M. Lodha and Jagdish Singh Khehar in a judgment said that under the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005, the daughters are entitled to equal inheritance rights along with other male siblings, which was not available to them prior to the amendment.
I understand this is applicable only in case the Father is alive at the time of the amendment came in - ie Father has to be alive in the year -
1986 for Andhra
1990 for Karnataka
1994 for Maharashtra.
The logic being that - The fact that this is applicable only to Joint families and that a daughter is only a member of the family till her marriage or the death of the father, which ever is earlier.
Your opinion will be appreciated.
Thanks.

my grand father " H " had two real brothers say A and J . A was unmarried . J was married and had one son JB . My grand father had two sons my father "VP " and OP . OP was unmarried . he was allotted an alternative plot by dda . he sold the rights of this plot to one 'X" and executed ATS, GPA etc and a Will was also registered in favour of "X " by OP . He died in 2003. After his death my real uncle OP my cousin uncle JB ( cousin brother of the OP my father VP ) by submiiting the forged documents showing himself to be the son of my grand father "H " got the mutation in his favour and sold the property to some third party . even the purchaser " X" was not aware of this . Now it has come to my notice thru "X" that my uncle "JB" had sold ( in 2006) the said property by claiming to be the only legal heir of OP. He also concealed the fact from authorities that the children i.e me and my siblings , of the VP the real brother of OP are alive OP . Now the "X" has got the said will executed by vP in his favour and claiming his right over the said property . I have alsoi joined hands with him and want to teach my cousin uncle a lesson .
Now how can i get my property back or get some share of amount from the " X'. what are the legal options for me and "X" i and"X" have given the representations to the DDA .

Hi,
this is in regards to the latest judgement by the Supreme Court on Women's Rights on the HUF Property.
Our's is a HUF property. We are a family of 5 with two brothers and one sister. My father had given a piece of the ancestral land to our sister creating a sale deed as though he had sold that land to our sister without informing us. My sister had signed on a document as well stating that "They won't exercise any right going forward and they don't need anything anymore". Now our father and mother are no more and we brothers would like to divide the property among ourselves as per parent's wish, as according to them, they had already given the property to our sister. Now my sister is asking for some more property after the demise of the parents. Does our sister have the right in the rest of the property which we want to divide among ourselves? We brothers had given a lot of money to our parents for their expenditures throughout lifetime, also taken care of them including the medical expenses. Property is the only source for us now. Also, can we divide the property among ourselves? Incase our sister wants share, requst you to let us know as to how can we get it divided without giving the property to her? Now the SC also has given an exception stating that any testamentary disposition of property been made before December 20, 2004 is valid. So let me know if our sister has equal rights in my case?? Your help is higly obliged.
Regards
Avil
