Anticipatory bail

I am suspecting 498A from my wife who deserted me 8 months back and when gone there threathened that she will lodge FIR against me ,can I apply for anticipatory bail on this ground and also I have applied for Divorce.But till now received no call from police or summon.
41a amendment suggest for investigation before arrest and suddenly if arrested without summon or if crpc 202 is not followed in private complain then the FIR or complain can be quashed?
What is the difference between Pre arrest bail application and anticapatory bail.

Where do you stay? In many parts of India the court does not allow applying for anticipatory bail unless the FIR is registered.

your wife has till date not filed any FIR against you . mere apprehension is not sufficent for grant of anticpatory bail . let your wife file FIR against you
