After separation up to how many year wife can file dv case against husband

Dear Expert,

Please clarify, after separation husband and wife. we are not living together now. we ere separated more than 1 year.

Now i am getting threat of launching false complaint against me. is it possible to launch any Domestic Violence case against me even more than 1 year of separation?

Yes off-course she can, separation does not make any bar to file a complaint against you. It is left to you to proof your innocence.

yes she can file dv case. time is no bar.............but think of the paradox......a criminal prosecution cannot be lodged u/s 498A I.p.C (which is graver than dv act) after 3 years of offence (offcourse subject to extension of limitation)but a dv act case can be filed after any no. of years....
