Vehicle sold , buyer not transferred vehicle in his name

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 10 June 2025 This query is : Resolved
I sold 4 wheeler vehicle 3 days back , received money and handed over vehicle, original RC, insurance policy etc , we made agreement on Rs 100 stamp paper
Buyer has to come to RTO for transfer form sign etc , he didn't come , he promised to come today but he didn't turn up
What should I do now? Should I send letter to RTO office informing them about our deal ? Please advise

You send a legal notice to the buyer to comply with further formalities on a date stipulated and if he fails to respond you may intimate the RTO about it in writing.

Issue legal notice to buyer to get transferred the the vehicle his name also send the copy of notice to RTO to take necessary action in this regard.

Did you sign form 28, 29, 30 and 33 of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and obtained delivery certificate from purchaser ?
