This query is : Resolved
I sold 4 wheeler vehicle 3 days back , received money and handed over vehicle, original RC, insurance policy etc , we made agreement on Rs 100 stamp paper
Buyer has to come to RTO for transfer form sign etc , he didn't come , he promised to come today but he didn't turn up
What should I do now? Should I send letter to RTO office informing them about our deal ? Please advise

You send a legal notice to the buyer to comply with further formalities on a date stipulated and if he fails to respond you may intimate the RTO about it in writing.

If the purchaser did not apply for transfer of ownership you should inform concerned MLO / RTO regarding sale / purchase transaction with copy of delivery certificate signed by purchaser.
Otherwise, the vehicle is in your name and if (God forbid) any mishap occurs you will be liable for the same

Keep tracking report of intimation to RTO.
Issue legal notice to purchaser for getting the vehicle transferred within 10 days with copy to RTO

Also give a notice buyer about disclaimer about any liability arising from that vehicle clearly stating that vehicle is in his custody fro a particular dae.
