Transfer of property in the name of spouse

Hi,

Kindly request you suggest me the procedure to transfer the property in the name of spouse due to death of her husband and want the property to get transfer in the name of spouse.

If the husband dies intestate leaving only the wife then she automatically inheirts his property on his death.
nly thing she needs to do is to Mutate the property in her name in the Register of the Municipality.
However if there is other legal heirs besides the wife then those need to execute gift or relinquishment deed in the name of the wife.

Such alive spouse has to obtain death certificate of deceased and has to move an application supported with an affidavit and the death certificate for entering the mutation in his/her name as he/she is the only legal heir of deceased.

The municipality or the revenue authority as the case may be, after due verification and on deposit of required fee shall change the ownership in the relevant record.
