Termination for non performance

Can a Medical Representative be terminated on the basis of nonperformance?
In such cases is it necessary to conduct a domestic enquiry? (are the poor sales figures enough reason?)

In the private sector there s generally no system of causing a domestic inquiry unless the particular Company does follow such procedure by its Policy decisions.
Yes, in the MR the poor sales figure matters most while retaining the job as this job itself is in the category of Sales'.
However if in your case there is any detailed job contract with you then follow whether there is any breach of it or not. If yes, then file suit for declaration and injunction which do not forget that would take lot of time to see the light of the day.

In the private sector services can be terminated on the basis of non performance or not achieving his targets as per terms and conditions of the appointment letter.

Yes,the Medical representative can be terminated for his or her poor performance.Further the terms of agreement is very important for the procedure.
