Hi Everybody Me and my girlfriend are planing to go on a trip of two days. So we are planing to stay in a hotel there. Is there any problem in staying in a hotel together. And I have also heard that sometimes cops ask such couples to confirm from their parents. As I know they do so only fon some money as nobody will want his/her parent to call and confirm rather than giving some rupees to the cops. I request you guys to give some tips to tackle these cops.

If you dont see this as unethical you can take your girl friend and stay in the hotel, after informing the girl's parents.
In that situation, if you caught by police, you can inform them that you are staying with the girl, with the permission of her parents. If the parents also confirm, the same, the police will not take action against you.

Mr Arunagiri thanks for your advise but it is not the answer to my question My question was is staying with an unmarried girl in hotel is legal or not. And if the police asks to verify from parent, is it legally needed or they do such things just for shake of money.

No law prohibits, provided you are able to satisfy the police about your stay to be not for any immoral act.

The police is having all such rights to cross check the credibility of your statements.
They have every right to check whether the girl belongs to a family or other wise.
