how can any lawyer advice whether share certificate no is valid? what is nature of your query ? has society issued you share certificate in respect of flat? or is it relating to ownership of shares in company?

So long you remain alive as the share holder of the company your certificate will be alive and you will be entitled to get dividend. Your question is not however clear.

The certificate will bear the name of the applicant who has applied for fresh or transfer.

The question of validity of name does not arise.
