Self-rectification-buyer name wrong in registration plan

We jointly registered an open plot (in my and my wife’s names). In the main sale deed and the Encumbrance Certificate (EC), all details — seller’s name, our names, relations (S/o, W/o), plot details, consideration, and signatures — are completely correct. The seller’s details are also correct everywhere.
However, in the Annexure/Registration Plan, the seller’s name and my (husband’s) name are correct, but my wife’s name and W/o name are completely wrong. Instead of my wife’s name, some other lady’s name appears — likely due to a clerical or typographical mistake made by the document writer while copying.
All other details such as boundaries, signatures, and plot measurements are correct. Since the seller is not available to execute a rectification deed, I want to know if a self-rectification affidavit/deed is sufficient to correct this minor clerical error.
Will this cause any issues in the future — for example, during bank loan processing, resale, or house plan approval?

It is not a problem. Where is the property situated? In Andhra Pradesh, the self-rectification deed is allowed for registration in the situation of such rectification. In your state, this is allowed; you can register the self-rectification deed. Otherwise, give a notarised affidavit regarding such clerical mistakes.

Thank you for the quick reply...!
This property is located in Hyderabad, Telangana. Is the same rectification process applicable here?
If self-rectification is not allowed in Telangana, what are the other available options?
Will a notarized affidavit be enough to correct such clerical mistakes?
Will there be any issues in the future for loan processing, building permission, or resale?
Kindly guide me on this matter.

The rectification process that is applied in AP is also applicable in Telangana too.

self declaration deed can be registered in the same registrar office, but will not reflect in EC 🌷

All the details in the EC are correct. I just need to correct my wife’s name and W/o name in the registration plan through a self-declaration at the same Sub-Registrar Office. This self-rectification will be linked to the original sale deed number and recorded in Book 4, which will create a new document number. Will it cause any problem in the future if this new document number does not appear in the EC?

The transactions pertaining to an immovable property will always be registered under book one but since this is not a transaction involving financial consideration, it can be registered under book-4.
Even though it would be having a separate document number, it becomes the part of the original document hence you may better follow the procedures for self rectification as per the prescribed local law
