Hi,
My father died in car accident recently, and we have found through some call records that my grandmother want to implicate the property owned by my father just to trouble us. We live in Pune and the property is in UP.
Few questions I have related to the property:
My Grandmother has some immovable property/Land which she bought, can we have any claim on that?
The property(inherited and self bought) which was in my father's name in UP, can she have any claim on that.
All the papers for these properties my dad owns in the village are missing. How to get those.
Can we prevent any illegal ownership by other of that property.
How do we ensure that it is safe from prying eyes of our relatives.
There is a property which my dad has bought in another state, for which we don't have any papers. When we called them by looking up there number on internet and informed about dad's death they told us to have our cousin sister call them.
Can we get details/papers of that property as legal-heirs?
Can we stop our cousin from selling that property?
What are our option here?
Please help me out.
Regards,
Satya

Your mother, you and our siblings are the legal heirs of your father.
This includes the property, if any, inherited by your father from the grandfather.
You do not have any right in the grandmother's property during her life time.
