Sir, I am a tenant in respect of a flat in kolkata and my landlord in trying to evict me have taken criminal steps in past and he was arrested also. Recently in my place fire took place thrice for unknown reasons and every time I along with my family were saved by grace of God.
Can I take any criminal action against the landlord and if yes what?

Unless you have any sound proof about your landlord having caused the fire and that too intentionally, your criminal case may not stand the trial.

you can make a complaint with the police and simultaneously you can file a suit, against your landlord, for permanent injunction for restraining the landlord from evicting you from the property forcefully or without adopting the legal course.
if the landlord intentionally tries to do some criminal act in order to evict you then you may complain the matter to the police as such an act may result into some serious injuries to you and your family.

The Rent Act in Bengal is quite stringent in favour of the tenants. But in your case unless some proof could be shown albeit prima facie against the landlord, you could initiate such case against him.

I do agree with Kiran Kumar.
