Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 07 February 2021 This query is : Resolved
i have been promoted to group b gazzted post from non gazzeted post in central govt deptt..but due to some family and health issues i want reversal of promotion..is it possible to take reversal.. our promotion is done on ad hoc basis
Quick Summary
If you've been promoted on an ad hoc basis within a central government department and wish to revert to your previous post due to personal reasons, it is generally possible. You can submit a formal representation to the competent authority outlining your circumstances. However, be aware that rejecting a promotion can sometimes be seen as a permanent rejection, so it's advisable to check your specific service rules for any potential long-term implications.

Once the promotion is rejected, it will be deemed to be a permanent rejection and you cannot get a promotion in the future.

Since it is adhoc promotion, you can give a representation to competent authority for transfer to your last post held. Impact of denial of promotion you can check your service rules.
