Renting a flat belonging to a deceased

Hi all,

Can my mother rent a flat that is in the name of my father(deceased) located in naigaon(e).

Is a succession certificate or any other document mandatorily required to be provided to the society?

If she is the nominee, she can. Otherwise, obtain a family members certificate from the Tahsildar concerned. It is sufficient as there is no dispute on the property of your father.

The tenant willing, there need no be any constraint. If an agreement is made, all the particulars could be incorporated.
