Reg divorce and property

I have a land in my name which is self acquired. Planning to apply for divorce. How to safeguard my property?.

Can i mortgage it or do i need to shell my property before applying for divorce or any other suggestion pz?

If you are the sole owner then you have nothing to worry.
However to avoid any dispute over it you can sell it also before divorce.

Though there is no harm in retaining the property if it is in your name, it would be more safe to sell it out.

Dont do anything now, the property will be safe with you, she cannot snatch/grab away the property from you even if you happen to divorce her.
