Re-examination of accused under sec 313

Ld Counsels,

In an assault case Accused came to know the original criminals who assaulted the victim only during the final arguments. He made inquiries by making phone calls with certain witnesses and recorded what they told him, but those witnesses are afraid of coming to court and depose in favor of accused.

Can accused seek for re-examination under sec 313 to mark the recorded conversation and the phone call details.

The witnesses could be recalled under Section 311. So also, you can appear as your own witness.

However, a lot depends on your lawyer and his skill.
