NOTTAM VENKATASAMY (Querist) 06 September 2011
WHY I CANNOT GET IT?
Dr Anil Kumar Singh (Expert) 06 September 2011
My dear , the documents though public property are not pertaining to public departments business and activity. They belong to the parties to the dispute and as per the provisions of RTI Act 2005 you can only be provided the same if the parties consent. Experts are correct.
Kiran Kumar (Expert) 06 September 2011
the court record is not covered under RTI Act....please study the Right to Information Law in right perspective.

a stranger to a case can not ask for the contents/ documents related to a case.

if you wish to have some judgment on a particular point then browse it in library or ask some counsel for help.
Sailesh Kumar Shah (Expert) 06 September 2011
Agree with Mr. Kiran Kumar.
and also see Section 11(1) of the RTI Act.
K.S.Srinivas (Expert) 06 September 2011
I agree with expert Shailesh Kr. Shah.

This is your simple desire to obtain certain citation put by a counsel in a particular case before court in support of his case and you being spectator found those citation fit for your any case then request that counsel to provide you copies of the case law or at least detail of citations.

Court is not bound to provide these citation to other party to the case what to talk of you under any Act.
