Process fee

(Querist) 05 September 2021 This query is : Resolved
Complainant examined and list of witness filed u/s 200. Please advise when to file process fee.
Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the timing for filing process fees in legal proceedings. Generally, process fees should be submitted soon after the complainant's examination-in-chief and the filing of the witness list under Section 200. The court often sets a date for the 'Statement of Accusation' and issues process under Section 204 of the Cr.PC, at which point the requisition and process fee are typically required. This practice is common in Kerala, where courts direct the necessary steps.

Soon after examination in-chief of the complainant process fees has to be filed.

Please refer the cause list. I believe you will get next date as well as the purpose over there! Aside we generally have date fixed for 'Statement of Accusation' after filing and once the Judge takes cognizance he/she will issue process u/s 204 of Cr.Pc. That time you need to file requisition/s along with the process fee!

Generally, that is the practice in Kerala, the Court directs for taking steps.
