Dear all,
1)is probate of a will required to be a complete owner of a immovable property in bangalore??
2)can a property be sold or transferred by the legatee without the probate of a will?

probate is not mandatory except in some cities like mumbai , calcutta , madras . however always advisable to obtain probate to avoid controversies in future . .

A legatee is required to get the mutation of the property on the basis of will but it is always better to get the probate before the sale.
