In Assam, Teacher's Eligibilty Test advertisement Age bar for OBC candidates was 42 years with 5 years age relaxation for them .So many OBC candidates who are above 38 years (which is max. age for General Category candidates) cleared the exam. Now Govt has made advertisement that OBC candidates below 38 years are only eligible for job.
with these facts can successful candidates have any legal remedy as they are not fit for other Govt job due to their age?Aged candidates are too frustrated and they are unemplyed yet brilliant students.

contact a local lawyer .
if at time of advertisment it was specifically mentioned that OBC candidates can be 42 years old and on basis number of candidates filled in application forms and appeared for written test and cleared the exams then if guidelines are arbitarily changed you cna file writ petition challneging said decision

Please see what upper age limit is prescribed in the RR for gen candidate. RR is a public document published in gazette and can be had under RTI.
