(Querist) 21 December 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear members,
Can any member working in high court of madras advise me whether a petitioner can apply for an order copy even though he was represented by his lawyer?
The form I got from vendors at high court has only place for council for petitioner to sign not petitioner. i was a petitioner in the case
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 21 December 2011
Yes he can apply, but he has identified by an advocate.

Whether you are a petitioner or respondent, to get the copy of the order is your right and you can get the same giving requisite charges
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 22 December 2011
Getting copy even by unrelated person is not a problem. You should have to be identified by any lawyer.
livingston_k (Expert) 22 December 2011
you have to file revoked vakalat, make your self as party in person. then you can apply for order copy.

In the form from vendor, petitioner can delete 'counsel for' and apply in person;
Nobody stops you from getting copy of order by yourself without seeking any Advocate's help'
