Nominee in sale deed

(Querist) 24 April 2023 This query is : Resolved
Just as you have in society flats, is it possible to add a nominee in a sale deed when buying freehold property in delhi
Quick Summary
It is not possible to include a nominee in a sale deed when purchasing freehold property in Delhi. Unlike society flats, a sale deed legally transfers ownership. If a nominee is added, they would be considered a co-owner with a half share. Experts confirm there's no provision for nomination in a sale deed.

No. If one person purchased the property, he cannot include the nominee in the sale deed, and if you include he/she will be the owner for a half share in the property. Only the society of your apartment adds a person as a nominee.
