My father have change his sur name

Hi,

My father have changed his name from syed rahim to v rahim .

and i am facing an issue while applying for passport

beacause in my sslc marks card my father name is syed rahim & in other documents it is v rahim .

please advise.

apply with the documents in which your father declare his new name

while applying for passport i have to produce sslc marks card & other but documents like ration card , voter id contains new name.

there will be a difference of name in sslc marks card & other documents

With the gazette copy of name change you can. It is accepted by all

You must give name change for your father. That is you must give as in two papers and then u must attach an affidavit for that name change and it must be signed by your father, u must attach one proof of your fathers old name and one proof for the new name, then u can apply for your passport, ur sur name will be same, but ur fathers name will come as v rahim

In addition to the wise advice of Priya, get the news-paper publication to the effect that both sir names are of the same person.
