When was the car sold & when was the accident committed?
Contest the case if ever it comes up in court.
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 26 October 2011

You have no liability. The car is insured, not you.

it is the duty of the owner in whose name the RC stands. So he has to change the insurance to his name . There is no liability upon you. Appear into the court by filing vakalat and give proper answer.

No liability can be fastened on you. File a reply in court that vehicle was transfered in the name of purchaser before accident took place.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 26 October 2011
Yeah! you are not liable.but a burden to attend proceedings and to prove sale is extended now on you.
raghavendra (Querist) 26 October 2011
