This is a criminal offence hence you better make compromise with the defacto complainant and get acquitted so that it will not affect your prospects for government employment

Every offence whether moral turpitude or not makes worst effect on prospects for Govt job so better proceed for compromise.

Any acquittal/discharged on technical/procedural grounds or compounding/compromise will not help you.

S/279 IPC is non compoundable so no compromise is possible.

It can only save you from going to Jail. quashing g FIR can help you.

To my knowledge, such offences are devoid of moral turpitude and hence, are of no consequence in appointment to public service. In the prevailing system, as in Kerala, the case could be settled by pleading guilty on payment of fine. Please discuss with the lawyer once you are served the summons for trial.
