if he/she practising in more courts thereis no ban to have membership in different associations. associations are independent bodies. and differ from bar counsel

AGREE WITH EXPERTS, there is no application of Sections 17 (4) and 49 (1) (ad) of the BCI Act, so you can enjoy two or more membership of bar association in one state.

But in Tamil nadu, One advocate must be a member in one bar alone. Eventhough you can practise in different courts. You should be a member of only one bar. For that every advocate must give affidavit to the concern bar, that he is not a member of any other bar except the specified one like that.

I would like to share views of Mr.Ramesh as even in U.P. the same procedure is followed
and multiple membership of several Bar Associations NOW from quite handsome past,is not allowed, irrespective of the fact that you practice in several courts.
The state Bar Council has framed a model by- laws for these associations to be followed by all.

Respected Ramesh Sir and Prabhakar Sir,
I not mention in one district, i also practice in same criteria in kolkata, this district has four court including High court and also its neighbor district has two or more court, without any membership of other court, appearing in court. So I AGREE AND ACCEPT YOUR VIEW.
