If you are major, you can marry at any place.

The marriage in temple has ceased to have much effect in different parts of India. If both the parties are major, i.e. the man has attained the age of 21 years and the woman has attained the age of 18 years, it would be better to go for a registered marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act, which is more powerful and is mightier than a marriage solemnized in a temple.

If you are male and above 21 years of age, you can marry in Temple/ Registrar of Marriages office

If you are female and above 18 years of age, you can marry in Temple/ Registrar of Marriage.

As it is not a marriage consented by parents, it is always advisable to get the same marriage registered to avoid future complications

Yes marriage before the temple is very much valid and it needs to registration for its validity.
mahendrakumar (Expert) 22 September 2011
If you are getting married in any of the temples under Devasom Board of Kerala, you can get a certificate/receipt for such marriage.

However, unless the same is registered with the local panchayath/municipality,it will not have the legal validity.

You both should be Major And Hindu to do so.
Chanchal Nag Chowdhury (Expert) 22 September 2011
You both should be Major to marry but registration is compulsory.
