Marriage certificate

Hello,

After marriage the couple is required to register the marriage and gets a marriage certificate. My query is when the couple divorces, how to get the marriage certificate nullified and how and where to get the divorce certified. Because it can happen that one of the parties to the divorce misuses the marriage certificate after divorce, if the certificate is not nullified.
