Can government servant take medical leave for treatment alcoholic cum mental disease?

If the appropriate Govt. as in your case has a policy for De-addiction leave and leave for Specified diseases then there might separate leave or the leave policy of the Govt. is usually well defined and leave can be applied.

Leave can only be approved within approved policy adopted by the department.
