What do you mean by registry of inherited land? If you get the land by inheritance, you have to approach the revenue authorities for mutation in their records.

Post facts of the problem if any.

You have to give all the details of your case. Just for your info.

If you are a lone successor, then the inherited property has to be mutated on your name with concerned depts.,like Revenue, Municipal authorities by producing the legal heir documents.

If you are one of the legal heirs, then all the properties of the predecessor are to shared among all the legal heirs according to their rights if the property is intestate. Then the settlement/partition document is to be registered with concerned registration officer. With the help of that document you are supposed to mutate all the records with the authorities as far as your concerned.

If any further details are required please specify your actual problem, then only we can suggest in the right manner or else it is not suggestible.

SIMPLY make a proper written application (affixed with Rs. 5/- court stamp, alongwith:
a) Copy of the Ration Card etc.... wherein name of father and name of son (yourself) is recorded.
b) Affidavit supporting the same (If there is no objections by other legal heirs)
c) 7x12 extract of the land

Submit the above to the area Tahsildar /Collector office, for the needful, who are bound to mutate the entries within 60 days, after due notices to concerned persons. IF the Tahsildar /Collector, raises objections, THEN comply with the objections.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
