Inter Religion Marriage

(Querist) 30 June 2015 This query is : Resolved
I am a Hindu girl and want to marry a Muslim boy without getting caught by our parents because they are strictly against Muslims and also without converting our religions....we are very confused what to do and how to get married without any complexities ???? Plz helphelp
XYZ (Querist) 01 July 2015
Plz let me know if there is any solution for doing court marriage without the notice being sent to our residential address

Get ur marriage done under Special Marriage Act. You need two witnesses each to be present before the Registrar at the time of registration of ur marriage. Neither of u need to convert ur religion and follow ur respective faiths after marriage. But I would suggest that both of u try to convince your respective Parents and seek their blessings. Your parents may show magnanimity if they are convinced that the boy and their family is worth the marriage.

An inter-religious marriage, that too without the parents' consent, has complexities. However, they are social, not legal.

I know parent's permission is very much important and their blessings too but what if they are totally against to such an extent that they would kill us also??????
In our case it is next to impossible for us to tell our parents that's why we are seeking this much of information.....
I have listened and read also that a notice would be sent to the address of both the parties regarding their marriage....is this true??
If yes then please let me know what are the objections could be made by the parents?

@ XYZ
1. Anonymous author has to be avoided.
2. What prompted/attracted you for inter-religion marriage, that too without your parents consent?
XYZ (Querist) 02 July 2015
Your words sounds like you are against inter-religion marriage Dr. J C Vashista......
First of all I'm not attracted towards it and if I'm attracted then I think its not a crime because if it is a crime then there would not be such SMA types of act in our country..
I'm just asking about the procedure to resolve my issue, I don't want to be in a mess with anyone.
You all are great advocates and you have a big room of knowledge in your minds and I can't argue with any of you on this thing..
The only fact is you all are here to support us, to provide us solutions for our respective problems that's it.
Sorry sir if I'm misbehaving or any of my words hurts you by any way, I'm just giving my view.
XYZ (Querist) 02 July 2015
I would be glad if my parents will support us in this matter because I know without them no one can lead a successful life but I know my parents very much, they would kill me but never allow me to do this.
But I don't want to marry any another guy, he's perfect for me that's why I'm asking this much of questions.. !!

I appreciate ur stand. Marriage decision by an adult is her or his personal decision now a days even in the case of arranged marriages. I am not very clear on the question of any notice being sent to the parents under the special marriage Act.I suggest that this can be inquired from the office of the Registrar of marriages of ur place. Both the boy and girl have to fill up a form of application with proof of their age and address and pay the prescribed fee and be present at the Registrar's office with witnesses for the marriage.
XYZ (Querist) 04 July 2015
Thank u MV Gupta Sir...
And what I'm asking is that I have read on internet that after the registration of our marriage a notice will be published in a leading newspaper of our area, one copy would be pasted in the registrar office and one will be sent to our address so that if there will be any objection against us by anyone then they can let the magistrate know about that..about this notice I'm asking Sir !!

Thanks to all !!
I will think upon this matter.
