i have a partion case going in in court, i ask my advocate whats the progress he says that `case is on evidence`
what does it mean?
prabhakar singh (Expert) 25 June 2013
Who are you as party in the case?
Plaintiff or defendant is not told you.
The party who filed partition case is called plaintiff and who filed reply is called defendant.
Afterwhich court make issues(the point in dispute between parties)and post a date of evidence on which plaintiff and his witnesses are cross examined by defendant's advocate against their chief submitted by affidavit.Next come the turn of defendant for same very purpose.
After evidence is concluded, argument is heard by court from either side then judgment is pronounced.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 25 June 2013
Agreed with the expert, Evidence stage refer to the evidences of plaintiff and than defendant.

It would have been better to ask this simple question from your lawyer in simple language and further your duty.
