Gpa cancellation

(Querist) 23 July 2022 This query is : Resolved
I have given my Flot GPA which was taken by loan to my father in law. Is he is having right to sell the plot or to take loan on that again. If I want cancel the GPA what is the processor. Plot registration is next year 2023.
Quick Summary
If you've granted a General Power of Attorney (GPA) for a plot of land to your father-in-law, you may be concerned about his ability to sell it or take out loans against it. The good news is that you can cancel a GPA at any time. To do this, you'll need to execute a deed of revocation and register it at the sub-registrar's office, followed by sending a copy to the agent via registered post. Some advice suggests approaching a civil court for cancellation and sending a legal notice beforehand.

It is not a legal query. For which purpose did you give GPA to your father-in-law? If you give it to sell and other purposes, he can sell the same or take a loan. You can cancel it at any time. After cancellation, he has no power to do anything.

Execute deed of revocation of GPA and get it registered in sub registrar office thereafter send a copy of such revocation deed to agent by registered post.

Hello,

As per me, you have to approach the civil court for cancellation of poa. Send legal notice for cancellation of poa and later on file civil suit.
