Gift deed/ will

Good Morning Experts,

My mother wants to gift one property to me by making gift deed.Cost of property is Rs 10 lac. For this what will be all govt charges,like stamp duty,registration etc.

Can she give me this property by will(vasiyatnama)? If yes then what will be the govt charges to be paid for will?

There is no stamp duty or govt charges required to be paid for the execution of a Will.

The stamp duty differs from State to State so better to get this information locally if gift deed is to be got executed and registered but no stamp duty is applicable for will.
