for orders/reserved for orders

(Querist) 30 October 2010 This query is : Resolved
a case was posted for oders/reserved for orders on 26th oct by the district forum.

till dater judgement not delivered nor the case posted for any other date.

is it a usual practice by consumer courts?

what does it mean by reserved for orders and any time limit for judgement?

anything can be done from the petitioner's side for early judgement? please elaborate
Kirti Kar Tripathi (Expert) 30 October 2010
Yes, it is normal practice adopted by the courts. Under the law, no time limit is prescribed. Moreover, if the judgement is not delivered within 15 days, it is incumbent upon the court to hear arguments afresh. However, in your case, i advise you to remind the Court after reasonable period.
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 30 October 2010
the date given for the judgement can be adjourned due to lack of time, pressure of work and so many reasons.
It is usual practice judgementcan be pronounced at any date without giving the next date.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 30 October 2010
Because of the burden of cases the presiding officers of the courts and the forums do take some time for passing judgements. However, if there is inordinate delay, you could remind the forum about the pendency of the judgement.
s.subramanian (Expert) 30 October 2010
I agree with Mr.Kirti. You make a mention to the concerned judge.
Arun Kumar Bhagat (Expert) 30 October 2010
You mention the matter and remind the forum.

till todate judgement copy has been prepared.

judgements delivered after my case is ready.

how to approach the forum?

a) by way of any written request? I had already sent a letter addressed to the president on 09th nov 2010 for a copy.

b) should I meet the president in person?

c) any other remedy?

In the confonet.nic.in,on 30th Oct 2010,my case is shown as disposed off, with remarks complaint partly allowed by separate orders

Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 03 December 2010
Once your case is disposed, You will get the order copy at free of cost. After 2,3 weeks you can approach the copy section, they will provide you the copy. On going through it you can act upon it.
