My flat is in Uttar pradesh, do i need to hire a lawyer for the gift deed and how much duty i have to pay?

always advisable to hire a lawyer . stamp duty for gift deed would depend upon market value of property . have the gift deed duly regd

No Sir, wanted to know the gift deed procedure too including registration

You need not hire any lawyer for the purpose of registration of gift deed. You can get it done by way of Deed-writers generally having their seats in the compound of registrar office. The rate of gift deed is different from State to State and property to property (class of property) so better to know it locally.
