Can we do FIR in medico legal cases after 25 years of criminal nature related to heinous crime due to which plaintiff was about to become insane and mad?

other than those provided under Chapter XXXVI (Section 467 to 473), there are no limitation prescribed for initiating a criminal action.

Dear Mr Nitin,

Theoretically there is no limitation for serious offences however as you stated the offence had occurred 25 years ago. The complainant or informant will have to justify the delay.

You might be recollecting FIR in the case of "me too" registered after 37 years.
