But is it so in USA
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 19 October 2013
So , you mean to say it should be followed everywhere.

Should the while world including India copy what the USA legislate in its own wisdom.

India is a sovereign of it's jurisdiction over which only laws enacted by it can prevail and not of any other country's legislation.

go for ombudsman , ask for a stay in India from Courts here...ground will be ZERO earnings presently- and seek protection under laws of India.
Your parents must have been Indian Citizens..if so..go for it.

NO LAW CAN COMPEL A PERSON TO PAY TAX over his soul...incorporate your reasons of present incapcity to pay the same...ask for instalment payments..also make a prayer to stay all other proceedings, in case, if at all, there exists a provision for realisation of taxes on property transfer by selling some portion of property, put your objection along, whether there exists such provisionary powers with the State or not.

Wealth tax is applicable in India as per the act and a lot of exemptions exists. USA legislation is not applicable in India.
