Transfer petition

Guest (Querist) 02 March 2017 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts:

I'm planning to file a transfer petition in high court, to transfer case from our district to a court in another district, which is 20km from the previous court, but just 2km from my home.

Please let me know:

(a) The chances of granting transfer.

(b) The process of petitioning for transfer (is it just a letter requesting transfer?)

(c) Minimum Time taken for disposing off the transfer petition (an advocate friend told me it will be done in a day but I couldn't believe him).

Thank you
Sarma

Normally the Women side will be given Priority in Transfer Petitions of Family Matters.Your Side would be Considered if it is on Medical grounds.Still you could file the Transfer Petition in High Court and Could Obtain a Stay for further Proceedings in the Present Court and the Matter would take minimum 3 to 6 months to get completed in High Court and in mean time you could implement what you had planned/Stated Please
