receipt not given

Sir I have bought a washing machine three months before from my friends shop now it is not working and service centre asks for original receipt but it was not given at that tym by shopkeeper so I asked him but now he refuses to give any receipt and deny that he don't me .I have no proof that I have given him money . in what sec I lodge fir against him.

As your case falls under 'cases of civil nature', you cannot lodge any complaint/FIR against the seller of the washing machine. you may pursue your friend to obtain a receipt for the payment. If you have paid the amount by cheque, no seperate receipt is required. Bak's statement is sufficient as proof of payment.

On the basis of machine details on body / electric part you can find whether the machine is in guarantee period or not? If it is in guarantee period, company can not escape liability. Send notice / file consumer complaint.

You can lodge complaint of the seller to VAT department.

Sir I have two friend at that time when I bought washing machine and they are ready to give affidavit that I have given money before him . can I lodge fir against him in sec 420 .
