Hi,
I have been booked under IPC 279, 337 & 185. the case was registered in Nov 2012. The case has not yet been stand in the court as told by my lawyer and I am just given further dates. I paid the person who was hit for his hospital charges and now can walk after his leg fracture surgery. The person initially showed the intention to compromise and close the case once he is out from hospital. Now he denies but he is also not concerned to come to the court and have his advocate to fight. It looks like now he is not wanting to claim the third party insurance nor go further with the claims. should I keep on taking further dates or ask my advocate to stand the case and close get the person to the court to make a final decision. Or after 1 year if the case is not stand it closes??

Since the offense is against the state, you have to face it.

Hi Thanks - Basavaraj & Agarwal Sir. I am still given further dates. Is that going to work in a long run? I mean I dont understand that if the person who has put this case is no more interested in the case whats the point taking further dates. Does this case needs to stand so that the person is called in the court to take a decision out of this? How long will I be taking future dates? Please suggest. My advocate is simply asking me to take future date.
