Hi Sir,
I have a problem in my name change and need your suggestion :
After completing B.Com. In the year 2010 December I changed my name from M Sanjay to Ravi Pravin. I did affidavit notary and published in two newspaper. After that i approached the state Gazette they said that government will print only name change of the govt officials not public. I Changed my name in Passport, DL, election id card it took more than two years to change in these documents.
Recently I approached to get my birth Certificate they ignored my affidavit notary and they said to get magistrate certificate of name change but i gave them my passport copy but they are not accepting anything.
Now, I am in a dilemma should i again do the process of getting magistrate certificate of name change and publishing in two newspapers and approaching the national gazette ?
OR only the magistrate certificate is enough ? instead of two news paper publications and national gazette publication ?
Should i also change my name in SSLC, PUC and BCOM markscards ?
Also, will the magistrate Certificate should have my photo on it ?
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Ravi Pravin

"I Changed my name in Passport, DL, election id card . "
since these documents have your new name it should suffice . the ssc , Bcom certifcates will bear the name you originaly had . subsequently you have changed your name and it is reflected in passport and other identity proofs . it should suffice

There is no need for subsequent publication as old publication is sufficient for ever, however, it shall be better to have one more evidence as desired namely certification from Executive magistrate enclosing your photograph thereon apart from the documents you already got changed.
