What is the maxim "falsus in uno falsus in omnibus" and whether it is applicable in indian court of laws.

It is a well-settled principle of law that the maxim falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus (false in one thing, false in everything) is not applicable in India. In India this doctrine of falsus in uno falsus in omnibus does not apply. To the same effect is the decision in State of Punjab v. Jagir Singh (AIR 1973 SC 2407) and Lehna v. You have to take the grain from the chaff. If a man says a false hood does not mean that what ever he said is false. False in one thing does not mean that false in every thing not applicable to indian courts.

"If one statement of a person is found to be false, it should be treated that all his statements to be false"
