How long court can avoid hearing of criminal contempt

How long a criminal contempt petition can be kept on hold in this case ?
c. Please advise, we should not allow black spots to tarnish image of our country's judicial system.

It appears somebody from your behalf or on behalf of the other party prayed for time as without this several dates for hearing would never be fixed.
Asked your advocate not to accede their request to adjourn the hearing on the next occasion.
Do remain present in the court room to check whether any mischief is done from your side as well or not.

High Court hardly gives so many dates for hearing on its own unless one party prays for time and other party did not raise objection on it.

I am appearing in person no time is asked by either party. The division bench verbally express inability of the bench to hear the matter, "Capt Singh bench is hearing some very important matters today, therefore we wont be able to hear your matter", the next date of hearing is so and so) This way it is getting adjourned to next date to next date to next date.
